Policies

  • Vaccine Policy

We feel very strongly that vaccinating children on schedule with currently available vaccines is absolutely the right thing to do for all children and young adults. We also offer vaccines to our parents and caretakers (ask the staff or pricing) because we feel it is important to make sure we keep the adults healthy too!We are committed to protecting all of our patients and staff and that is why we are committed to this policy.

WE REQUIRE ALL PATIENTS TO HAVE THEIR VACCINES PER THE AAP and CDC IMMUNIZATION SCHEDULE BY A CERTAIN AGE TO REMAIN IN THE PRACTICE.  While our providers will work with you on specific timeframe of administration,  we will NOT allow patients in our practice who will not vaccinate their children for all required vaccines.

    We believe:

    • Vaccines save lives. Immunizations have been proven to prevent serious illnesses, reduce the spread of contagious diseases, and protect vulnerable populations.
    • Vaccines are safe. Extensive research and rigorous safety standards ensure that vaccines are both effective and secure for children and young adults.
    • Vaccines protect communities. By vaccinating according to the recommended schedule, we help prevent outbreaks and protect individuals who cannot be immunized, such as infants too young for certain vaccines or those with certain medical conditions.

    Our Policy Highlights:

    • Recommended Schedule: We follow the immunization schedule endorsed by the AAP and ACIP because it has been carefully developed to provide the best protection at the most appropriate times.
    • Evidence-Based Approach: Our recommendations are grounded in the latest medical research and data, reflecting a strong consensus among pediatric and public health experts.
    • Transparent Communication: We are always available to discuss any questions or concerns about vaccines and are committed to providing clear, respectful information about the benefits and potential risks.

We understand that deciding how to protect your child’s health is one of the most important decisions you’ll make. By following this policy, we aim to ensure that every child in our care has the opportunity to grow up healthy, safe, and protected against preventable diseases.

While our providers will work with you on specific timeframe of administration,  we will NOT allow patients in our practice who will not vaccinate their children for all required vaccines.  Failure to follow this schedue or delay vaccines that are recommended at the time of the well visit could result in additional fees that are not billable to the insurance.

  • Appointment Policy

    Everyone's Time is Equally Valuable.

Please arrive early for your appointment. If you are even 5 minutes late for your appointment time, we may have to reschedule your appointment. We try hard to accommodate patients who are late as we understand that sometimes circumstances can’t be avoided, but if a patient arrives late for their appointment the doctors will be late for the next patients.

    • You will receive a text message confirmation of the appointment if you have provided us with a cell phone number.

Our practice makes every effort to run on time with appointments, as we believe everyone’s time is equally valuable.

Please complete all paperwork that was emailed to you ahead of time and fax, email or bring with you to the visit.

    • If you are a new patient, please make sure you bring a complete set of medical records from your previous practice with you or send in to us before the visit. We may have to reschedule your visit if we do not have medical records.

Missed Appointments: Broken appointments represent a cost to us, to you, and to other patients who could have been seen in the time set aside for you. We reserve the right to charge a fee for canceled or missed appointments. We request 24 hours notice for cancellation of appointments.

A fee may be charged for a missed appointment including if you are late to your appointment and we are unable to accommodate you that day. The third consecutive missed appointment will result in discharge from the practice.

For new patients, a fee may be charged if the FIRST appointment is missed.

For Teen Visits parents will not be present in the exam room for the entire visit.  The provider is more than happy to talk to you before seeing your child or after but please let the nurses know you would like to have that discussion.  For well visits, the providers will ask to speak with you to go over the visit but understand that certain parts of teen visits are confidential between your teen and the provider and will only be disclosed to you if the teen consents.
